Interview and Hiring

If we are interested in your resume, we will conduct an interview and check your references prior to making an offer of employment. We will complete all relevant personal information and security verifications.

On Boarding & Training

Successful candidates will receive an offer of employment letter and the Welcome to Ultra shine package. All hired candidates must complete training and pass tests on Health & Safety, Environment, and Respect at the Workplace. We provide specific training on cleaning processes and procedures to ensure rapid work team integration and productive work routine adoption.

Light Duty Cleaner

Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Empty garbage and replace liners.
Clean washrooms and replace supplies as needed.
Horizontal and vertical low dusting - surfaces below 6 feet.
Horizontal and vertical high dusting - surfaces above 6 feet.
Clean windows and glass.
Clean and restore building interiors damaged by water, fire, or smoke.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Order supplies as needed.
Report any damage or repairs needed for the equipment to management.

Area Supervisor/Account Manager

Responsibilities

Coordinate project work.
Manage new account start-ups
Manage accurate assessment and delivery of services
Follow up and manage results from Quality Assurance inspections and customer communication
Manage health and safety protocols on designated sites
Perform random documented safety inspections and meetings
Monitor and inspect equipment and cleaning products for correct labeling, storage, and condition
Manage proper reporting of WCB and liaison between People and Culture representatives
Track labor costs through timekeeping using eHub
Manage financial aspects of contracts on designated sites
Manage supplies on designated sites
Manage shift coverage due to vacancy and vacation requests
Assist in hiring key staff
Deployment and training/re-education of staff on cleaning processes, latest technologies, and cleaning procedures as determined by site.
Take part in the weekly plan, action, and review meetings
Attend all mandatory company meetings
Maintain "new staff request log" and ensure it is up to date

Special Project Services (SPS) / Heavy Duty Cleaner

Responsibilities

Strip and Waxing of hard surface floors.
Carpet steam cleaning.
Window washing.
Ceiling Pro.
High dusting - above 6 feet.
Pressure washing.
Wall cleaning.
Temporary staff coverage in emergencies.
Maintain and upkeep company vehicle.
Tracking of company SPS equipment.
Engage in ongoing personal trailing
Take inventory of supplies and let superiors know what is needed.
Adhere to all schedules via daily/weekly/monthly checklists.
Maintain all equipment according to the Ultra Shine equipment maintenance manuals
Adhere to various additional cleaning schedules, including special areas / specific time cleaning, etc.
Take part in random inspections performed by Ultra Shine management.
Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to work, including vans, industrial trucks, and industrial vacuum cleaners.
